Mobile Tornado is expanding its presence in the Nordics through a reseller agreement with Swedish based company Alecom. Alecom was founded in 1988 and specialises in providing mission-critical communication solutions across the world.

Their comprehensive ALITIS command control management system improves situational awareness, navigation and real time communication between different authorities to enhance operational safety and enable rescue operations to be carried out in a fast, efficient and timely manner.
Beyond command and control systems, the Swedish firm also develops a range of apps for blue-light and critical infrastructure organisations, including a rapid alarm-handling app for emergency services and a navigation tool for ambulance and rescue crews. Its partner network includes major names such as Motorola, Airbus and Cisco, reflecting the scale of its presence and credibility in the Nordic critical communications market.
What the partnership means
Following the signing of the reseller agreement, Mobile Tornado’s cutting-edge PTX technologies will be integrated with Alecom’s command centre to provide customers with an all-round world-class solution. The integration brings together Mobile Tornado’s MCX technology and the ALITIS platform, giving Nordic emergency services and rescue teams a single, unified view of communications and operations. Emergency responders will be able to coordinate voice, video and data from one command centre, rather than juggling separate systems during time-critical incidents.
Mobile Tornado’s push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) platform provides instant one-to-one and one-to-many voice communication over cellular networks, along with GPS location tracking, emergency SOS alerts and multi-media sharing. Unlike traditional two-way radios, it works over existing 4G and 5G networks and Wi-Fi, giving organisations nationwide and international coverage without the cost of building dedicated radio infrastructure.
For Nordic emergency services and rescue organisations, that combination of wide-area coverage and integration with an established local command and control system removes one of the biggest barriers to adopting cellular-based critical communications: the need to replace an entire existing operational workflow rather than extend it, so control room teams can adopt new capabilities without retraining staff on a completely new system or replacing hardware they already rely on.
