Mobile Tornado is British owned and based in the UK in the beautiful town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Harrogate’s heritage is as a fashionable spa resort. With the boom in spa tourism during the Victorian 1800s, Harrogate quickly developed a reputation for luxurious getaways for body and soul. The high society of Victorian Britain flocked to the town to enjoy the air, the space and the therapeutic spa treatments as well as taking the famous waters.
Today, Harrogate remains a boutique spa town with vibrant shops, quality restaurants and busy bars. The ideal destination for relaxation and indulgence!
Five fun facts about Harrogate:
- Harrogate was known as ‘The English Spa’ in the Georgian era, after its spring waters were discovered in the 1500s.
- Harrogate has the country’s last working Turkish bath! It dates back to the 19th century.
- Harrogate was voted “the happiest place to live” in Britain for three consecutive years.
- Harrogate is known for its floral displays and its beautiful parks and gardens. The town centre is surrounded by a vast 200-acre open space known as the Stray.
- Harrogate has a famous tea room called Betty’s which was started by a Swiss baker in 1919. Try their delicious “Fat Rascal” – a type of cake decorated with a cherry and almond face.
Following a series of new our push-to-talk over cellular (PTT also known as PoC) customer wins and a team restructure, we recently moved our head office to Copthall Bridge in central Harrogate, just a short walk from the train station, to export our expansion.
