Strategic acquisition establishes Mobile Tornado USA, positioning company to capitalise on surging demand for cellular-based communication solutions.
Mobile Tornado Ltd, a leading UK-based provider of push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) technologies, today announced its acquisition of Priority Push-to-Talk (PTT), a US-based push-to-talk provider headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. The acquisition reflects the growing momentum for PoC technology across the world amid heightened geopolitical uncertainty. It strengthens Mobile Tornado’s presence in the rapidly growing North American market and marks a significant milestone in Mobile Tornado’s global expansion strategy.
Following the acquisition, Priority PTT will operate under the Mobile Tornado brand as Mobile Tornado USA and will deliver Mobile Tornado’s advanced push-to-talk and workforce management technologies to dealers and end user organisations in both public and private sectors across the United States. Mobile Tornado USA will offer a range of OEM radios that will be fully compatible with the highly regarded Mobile Tornado platform. The platform, developed in the UK, will be hosted within a geo- redundant US data centre, ensuring a full in country end-to-end solution for all customers.
The acquisition comes at a time of unprecedented demand for reliable, instant communication solutions. As 4G and 5G networks continue to expand and strengthen, industries, including public safety, transportation, logistics and utilities, are increasingly seeking scalable communication platforms that can keep distributed teams connected in real-time.
